Sara Yderberg is basically an accounting consultant and runs her own company through which she consults. Entrepreneurship has always been close at hand as she grew up with a father who is an entrepreneur and since childhood she has always had to keep up with and get more or less involved in his company. Her former partner also ran companies and she also had to get involved in these. As an accounting consultant, she is in daily contact with various entrepreneurs and gets to see the companies from the inside. So starting her own business came naturally when she got the idea for the book, and she already had her own company that she consulted through, which made it easy to just get started. Together with the illustrator Emelie Wiklund, she produced the children's book "You are the fantastic book" which aims to build children's self-esteem and self-confidence. The webshop opened on 1 November and the book has sold hundreds only a month later and is available in several preschools around the country.

What do you sell in your shop?
You are the fantastic book, which is a children's book that aims to build children's self-confidence and self-esteem. The book is simple and easily accessible even for the smallest and consists of positive affirmations. First, a strengthening sentence is read out to the child, which the child can then repeat and say to himself. In this way, learning takes place in several ways and the child is engaged. The illustrations in the book help the child to memorize the messages. The book is consistent with the preschool curriculum, which states that the child should be given the conditions to develop their self-confidence and feel confident in their own abilities. When we produced the book, it was also important that it would be nice to have on the bookshelf and that it would consist of thick pages with nice illustrations. It would not be a typical textbook, but a fun and beautiful book that also has an important message and adds value for the child in the short and long term. Then we also sell posters with the inserts from the book so that the children can be reminded of the message every day.

Why did you choose Abicart as an e-commerce platform?
I needed a platform where I could quickly set up the webshop without having to be able to build a website or code myself. I had heard that Abicart had good support, which felt important as I had never made a website myself before. The support turned out to be beyond expectations. I was initially able to book in a team meeting with super nice Sabina who had a briefing with me where she showed me all the settings I needed to know. After the meeting I received an email with a summary of what we went through so I could go back to the instructions. I have been in touch several times since then and always get quick and good answers! What is the best thing about running a webshop?
It is really super fun and I am so happy with my existence in my company. I have a fantastic illustrator I produced the book with, I have a super nice contact at Abicart who always helps when needed and I get such a great response from my customers and get great support from other entrepreneurs. I can choose to collaborate with suppliers and influencers that I myself like. There is no negative energy.

Do you have any tips for others who want to start a webshop?
Believe in your idea and do it. That is the most important thing, the rest you will solve along the way. Nothing is too difficult to learn! As I am basically an accounting consultant, I also throw in the tip to keep track of the accounting and to get help if you can't do it yourself. As well as keeping order, especially if you are betting on becoming big. I have seen companies that expanded quickly but did not have order or kept contracts and accounting in a structured way. When scaling up, it is important to set these routines right from the start to avoid a big cleanup job later. Work with good people. As a self-employed person, you really have the option to choose to do so. Then of course the usual - build a brand, be consistent, invest in marketing and analyze which marketing is most profitable for you in order to get as much sales as possible from every marketed kroner. Experiment. Think outside the box. Make 3 calculations: a best case scenario, a worse case scenario and a realistic one.
But above all - get started, it is the first step that is the biggest.
